If you are one of those people who have had their vehicle impounded for a violation and have not yet collected it back, then it is high time you did so.
This is because the General Directorate of Traffic at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has asked owners of impounded vehicles to pay penalties and take them back before May 15 or risk losing it forever, reported The Peninsula.
The penalty can be paid at the Investigation Section at Industrial Area Street No 52.
In a statement, the MoI asked ‘owners of impounded vehicles, which have been kept under custody for three months or more, to contact the Investigation Section and complete procedures to release their vehicles, on or before the end of working hours on May 15.’ If they fail to do so, the MOI plans to sell them off.
Last February, the Directorate had held an auction of impounded vehicles of all types at the Industrial Area.
