Qatar Museums (QM) has declared that its museums would be closed on the first day of Eid Al Adha, but will reopen at normal intervals thereafter.

The usual working hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday. Tomorrow, July 9, is the first day of Eid.

Qatar Museums now oversees four museums: National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ), 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, and the Museum of Islamic Art, which is being reopened this fall. Qatar Museums Gallery — Al Riwaq, Qatar Museums Gallery at Katara, and Fire Station Garage Gallery are among the Galleries and Art Spaces.

There are various ongoing exhibitions in the museums, all of which are free to the public, however some tickets must be reserved through the QM website. "Pipilotti Rist: Your brain to me, my brain to you" will be on display at NMoQ until January 14, 2023. Pipilotti Rist, an internationally famous Swiss artist, has created a new large-scale, site-specific work for the show. The artist's first immersive video installation in the Middle East.

The exhibition "A Sneak Peek into Qatar Auto Museum Project" will also be on display at the National Museum until January 20, 2023. Through a common enthusiasm for vehicles, the exhibition honors the objective of driving culture ahead and inspiring the next generation of innovators, designers, engineers, collectors, and policymakers. It is also in honor of the future museum, which will unite Qatar's automotive community under one roof and goal.

"Dadu's Light Atelier" is on display at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art and will be on display as a temporary exhibition through September 11.

Dadu's Light Atelier employs several installations that allow youngsters to take the lead and freely explore topics such as light and shadow, color mixing, reflections, and more. You and your kid will be able to play, explore, and experiment in the educational environment.

Meanwhile, the Fire Station, Doha's main contemporary art venue and sponsor of creative homes, is exhibiting two exhibitions: "Yousef Bahzad: Earth Metal" in Gallery 3 and "Mubarak Nasser Al Thani: Espresso 4 the Road" in Gallery 4. Both will be on display until July 16.

Earth Metal by Yousef Bahzad delves into themes of erosion and manifestation, as well as the idea that the earth shapes people and, in turn, people shape the land. Meanwhile, Mubarak Nasser Al Thani's work in Espresso 4 the Road addresses the notion of global culture through what unites individuals, both geographically and culturally.
