Naseem Healthcare has been a pioneer in private healthcare in Qatar ever since its inception 17 years ago. Their latest CSR initiative is in alignment with the center’s vision to provide high-quality healthcare with a seamless patient experience. The latest initiative, ‘One Million Worth of Surgeries’ was announced at their latest press conference on February 5, and aims to provide financial aid for deserving patients.

What is the ‘One Million Worth of Surgeries’ initiative?

Under the new CSR program, Naseem Healthcare aims to disburse financial support worth QAR 1 million for surgeries to those patients who deserve it. This applies to surgeries performed at Naseem Surgical Center and is adjusted in the surgery bill. Depending on the patient’s financial status, Naseem Healthcare, at its discretion, will aid in full or partial payment of the patient’s surgery.

What aspects of a surgery’s expenses are covered?

The surgery charges that are eligible for funding under this initiative include Operating Theater charges, surgeon fees, pre- and post-operative bed charges, anesthesia fees, and Operating Theater Consumables.

However, the fee does not cover VIP Rooms, special implants, aesthetic surgeries, and special investigations.

Who are eligible to avail of this financial aid?

The ‘One Million Worth of Surgeries’ program purview extends to patients who are unable to fully afford the surgeries. They can notify the Naseem Surgical Center to avail the benefit of this scheme. Guests need to be residents of Qatar with a valid QID and can be recommended to this program by the community, embassies, prominent individuals, charitable associations, and friendly media partners.

Additionally, Naseem Healthcare intends to hold special medical and surgical camps in collaboration with several community, charitable, and social organizations and embassies to reach deserving patients through this program.

How are beneficiaries of ‘One Million Worth of Surgeries’ selected?

Post referral, the patients will undergo diagnosis by Naseem’s doctors at the Surgical Center and they can then discuss affordability issues. They will then be directed to the program coordinator for detailed assessment and counseling—leading to securing of approval from the approval committee.

This approval committee is comprised of senior management officials of Naseem from CSR, finance, and branch operations including the Medical Director.
