Under measures to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Qatar, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has announced some changes in the visitor policy for some of its hospitals and facilities.
According to the announcement, new restrictions have been put in place. These include:
- No visitors are allowed at any time at Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital, Mesaieed Hospital, The Cuban Hospital, all Enaya facilities and all areas classified as COVID-19 facilities.
- For all other hospitals: the visiting hours have been restricted to 12 noon to 8 pm only.
- Only one visitor at a time for a maximum of 15 minutes
- Visitors must follow all hospital guidelines for personal protective equipment and hand hygiene.

"These changes have been made in order to protect patients receiving care from the spread of COVID-19," HMC mentioned.
As health authorities in the country continue to implement the highest level of monitoring, detection, and management procedures to deal with the virus, the public has been advised to follow certain measures to safeguard their health.
