Since September 15, 2022, a campaign to support the Qatar national team has been launched with the goal of familiarizing the people in Qatar with the team, as the audience plays a crucial role in any team's success.
Qatar Football Association (QFA), in collaboration with Qatar Shell Company, developed this campaign, in order to promote the Qatar national football team ‘Al Annabi’ throughout their World Cup journey.
In a meeting with the Head of Digital Media at Qatar Football Association, AbdulRahman Al Abdul-Jabbar, said that the campaign for the Qatar national team is still going strong. The first phase began with the opening of Al-Annabi village in Msheireb Company House and the second phase started back in October 15 and is still ongoing.
He added that the marketing campaign includes public outreach initiatives in two key locations, Msheireb and Lusail Marina, and also included promotional activities in schools, in addition to purposeful artwork and inspiring initiatives for support.

He also emphasized on the standout content published on social media as part of the campaign included 20 promotional videos in addition to 5 dedicated songs, including works of the distinguished Qatari singer Fahd Al-Kubaisi, and the Kuwaiti artist Alaa Al-Hind.
According to Abdul-Jabbar, the songs and cartoon produced in support of the Qatar national team include the following.
Songs produced in support of the Qatar national team:
- 'How Amazing ya al'anabi"
- "Greet my team"
- "Go on, God's eyes watch over you"
- "Up, Up.. our flag up"
- 'I said yes"
Cartoon movies produced in support of the Qatar national team:
- "Behind any great team there are unrivaled fans like Al'anabi one"
- "Our football history is full of unforgettable milestones and achievements we are proud of.”
The works also included songs for children, "Al-Hema Al-Hema Al-Hema.. Aalnabi Al-Hema" which means wishing the team a good performance.
What to expect at Al Annabi Village in Msheireb?
"Company House" in Al Annabi village has its origin in Dukhan city, where the first launch of football in Qatar kicked-off. Al Annabi village in Msheireb was established with the aim of highlighting the heritage as it is an important tourist destination in the heart of Doha, and a major center for introducing Qatari culture and Qatari history to all World Cup fans.
Abdul-Jabbar clarified that Al Annabi village offers many attractions and activities to everyone, wherein the support campaign includes the full complement of promotional items, including team shirts and flags.
"As part of the support campaign, all promotional materials, including national team shirts and flags, are available at "Al-Annabi Village," which is a venue with sports, contests, a museum, and an art gallery exclusively for fans of the Qatar national team," Abdul-Jabbar added.
He also explained that it contains many activities to engage the fans, including a football corner, a mini-pitch and electronic games, as well as an exhibition that shows the history of the Qatari national team and the stages it went through, and the most prominent achievements it has achieved during the past years.
The campaign's slogan, "In love with Qatar.. Al-Annabi is stronger with your support," was introduced to emphasize the importance of the fan’s role at this point.
Abdul-Jabbar assured that these initiatives will contribute to Qatar's success at the 2022 World Cup and also depend on everyone's solidarity with the fans supporting the team throughout the tournament.
Mass events, artwork, and inspirational initiatives continue on social media platforms. This conveys a meaning to the team players that your people support them before or during the competition.
On November 24, fans gathered in Al-Annabi Village, Msheireb Downtown Doha to support the team in its upcoming matches during the World Cup.
The village witnessed a variety of cultural performances, including the Qatari dance, where men dance to the rhythms of traditional songs, raising their swords to show strength and courage.
Abdul-Jabbar underlined that “These performances are crucial to any team's success."

What to expect at Lusail Marina?
Abdul-Jabbar pointed out tha the designated area for the national team in the Marina has games, a 3D dome, a lit tunnel, and a shop where fans can buy official national team apparel.
He explained that the selection of Lusail city comes because it perfectly blends Qatar's traditions with the most cutting-edge developments and opulent modern luxury. It was also created in accordance with international standards that reflect originality.
The initiatives of decorating cars with Qatar's flags, pictures of players, and posters of the World Cup, are held in Lusail in collaboration with the Nahdi Group. In addition many gifts are distributed to the masses in different locations throughout the country and include activities geared toward the general public. These initiatives are still ongoing in different places.
