From the 5th to the 10th of May, fans in Qatar may see the renowned FIFA World Cup Original Trophy as it travels to tourist attractions including Aspire Park, Lusail Marina, Souq Waqif, and Msheireb Downtown Doha during the Eid vacation.

These activities in Qatar will serve as the Original Trophy's send-off before it travels on the Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour, which will bring it back to Doha for the tournament's first match on November 21 at Al Bayt Stadium.

Excitement is developing ahead of the 22nd FIFA Globe Cup, which will be the first to be staged in the Middle East and Arab world, according to Khalid Al Mawlawi, Deputy Director General, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy. “We are only 200 days away from the first match, and we welcome everyone in Qatar to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the Original Trophy up close before it embarks on its incredible trip around the world.”

At all of the public events, a number of special guests and football personalities will be present, adding to the excitement for the many fans who are expected to attend.Fans will be treated to a variety of activities as well as the opportunity to win tickets to the tournament's first match between Qatar and Ecuador.

 

The FIFA Trophy will be on display to the general public every evening from 6 to 9 p.m. The trophy will be taken to several businesses and organizations during the day, including those in the health and education sectors.

Thursday 5 May - Aspire Park, 6 - 9 pm

Friday 6 May - Industrial Area Cricket Stadium, 6 - 9 pm

Saturday 7 May - Lusail Marina, 6 - 9 pm

Sunday 8 May - Souq Waqif, 6 - 9 pm

Monday 9 May - Msheireb Downtown, 6 - 9 pm

A special send-off event will be held at Katara on 10 May.
