In all public and private schools and kindergartens in Qatar, over 94 percent of teachers and administrative staff have received COVID-19 vaccines in order to promote a safe and healthy school environment that will improve students' academic progress.

H E Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulwahed Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, stated that the blended learning system has become the best option for ensuring the continuity of the educational process without interruption, as well as the quality of education while maintaining students' health and safety.

Furthermore, a senior health official at Hamad Medical Corporation highlighted the effectiveness of the bubble system to limit the spread of COVID-19 within schools.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the Minister also commended school employees, students, their parents, and educational process partners on the timely commencement of the academic year 2020-21.

He encouraged students to work hard to attain their educational and pedagogical goals and take advantage of academic opportunities and alternatives in education.

The Minister also urged parents to work together and pay attention to their children's learning, urging them to prioritize it and improve their communication with their children's schools.

Blended learning, he said, has taken the educational process outside of the classroom and given parents a bigger involvement in their children's education, which strengthens their collaboration in the educational process.

To protect the safety of all school staff, the Minister emphasized the necessity of following the precautionary measures recommended by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health.
