His Excellency Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani yesterday graced the graduation of the Thunderbolt Commandos training course for the 3rd batch of students of the Police College.
The ceremony, which was held in Zekreet, saw the participation of a total of 110 students from Qatar, Palestine, Jordan and Yemen.

The ceremony started with the commandos displaying their combat, climbing, and patrolling skills followed by a documentary shining a light on the course.
The training course seeks to develop the security and practical skills of the candidates with the use of the newest scientific methods in the areas of combat, raid techniques, arresting criminals and acclimatizing to areas with poor resources.
After the ceremony, HE the Prime Minister explored an exhibition and viewed the equipment and tools the commandos used during their training course.

The graduation ceremony also saw HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, senior officials from the Amiri Guard, the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Interior (MoI), and the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) in attendance.
MoI officials lauded the role of the Police College as one of the most advanced colleges in the field of training, qualification and police education.
