There had been poor visibility in many parts of the country yesterday due to strong winds and blowing dust. The conditions are expected to continue in Qatar today, according to the country’s Metrological Department.

In a tweet today morning, the weather department said fresh to strong northwesterly wind was expected to continue affecting most areas of the country today. Blowing dust and poor visibility is predicted, especially in open areas.

It also said that marine warnings were still in place and for people who go out to sea to be extra careful.

 

 

The speed of northwesterly winds are expected to go up to 28 knots in both inshore and offshore areas today. The sea level may go up as high as 9ft in some places, reported Gulf Times.

Detailed weather forecasts say the day time would be really hot, with maximum temperatures in the country expected to touch 44°C at Al Wakrah and Mesaieed.

 

 

Al Khor can expect a maximum temperature of 42°C and Doha can see the heat going up to 41°C.

Yesterday, the maximum recorded temperature was 44°C, at the Qatar University area, Abu Hamour and Mesaieed. Doha experienced 42°C heat yesterday.
