HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, inspected Hamad International Airport and Doha International Airport to see both airports' expansion and development projects.

His Excellency began his visit at Hamad International Airport, where he heard a summary from senior officials regarding the airport's multi-stage expansion plans, which are being implemented as part of the project's master plan.
It contains taxiways, aircraft parking, baggage handling, and fuel terminals, as well as the Passenger Terminal, Duty Free, and the West Side.

The current phase's expansion, which will end next year, will be used to welcome FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 visitors.

The Prime Minister also took a tour of Doha International Airport, where he was briefed on ongoing infrastructure development projects, various facilities and work progress, as well as security and safety procedures and airport equipment to facilitate the arrival of people on chartered flights and official delegations participating in the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 and 2022.
