To make it easier for citizens and residents of Qatar to provide the required data for Qatar Census 2020, the country’s Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) has unveiled a cutting-edge mobile application.

Known as ‘Qatar Statistics,’ the app is now available for download for both Android and iOS users and is free of charge, according to PSA President Dr Saleh bin Mohammed Al Nabit.

The launch of the app is a significant step together with the start of the field visits of the General Census of Population, Housing and Establishments ‘Qatar Census 2020.’

Users of the app can find a direct link to register to fill in the data for the Census electronically.

This is an easy, safe, and fast way without the need to receive field researchers to register households and individuals in the country, director of the Information Systems Department and adviser to the Office of the President of PSA, Dr Khalid Ali al-Quradaghi, highlighted.

Available in Arabic and English, the app serves as an easy-to-use, quick link between the public and the official PSA website.

Through the app, users can be informed on periodic data released by PSA’s different statistical departments including indicators, survey results, among others.

It also helps users in statistical comparisons for selected topics between several years.

In addition to other services, users of the app can directly contact PSA, in case they have an inquiry or would like to request data.

When there’s an update on existing data or new data are issued, the app also sends alerts to the user. This makes the app interactive and suitable for everyone in Qatar.

Earlier this month, PSA also announced that it would launch the field work for the final phase of the Qatar Census 2020, which will run until mid-January, 2021.

Qatar Census 2020 is one of the most significant statistical projects to gather the latest data of individuals, families, buildings, and establishments in Qatar.
