A few months ago, the world held its collective breath as 12 Thai boys, members of a youth football team, were rescued from a cave deep underground.
Now the same boys, along with their coach and two British divers who took part in their sensational rescue, have flown to the UK to collect an award, courtesy of Qatar Airways.

The members of the Wild Boars football team, along with their coach and two rescuers, flew from Thailand to London to take part in the ‘Pride of Britain’ 2018 awards ceremony, reported Gulf Times.
The team, who had a stopover at the Hamad International Airport, met with officials from the airport as well as Qatar Duty Free, who gifted them with gift hampers containing signed football jerseys and baseball caps.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said:
“Qatar Airways is proud to support the Wild Boars football team on their trip from Thailand to the UK. Their story is one of courage, strength and determination. They’re inspirational children and we were delighted to be able to fly them to London for the awards ceremony,” Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker was quoted as saying by Qatar Tribune.
“We look forward to welcoming them on board once again for their return trip to Thailand. We’re thrilled to be a part of the incredible journey these youngsters have undertaken over the last few months,” he added.
