Business travellers will be able to gain exclusive benefits under Qatar’s national flag carrier’s new rewards plan, ‘Beyond Business by Qatar Airways.’

Qatar Airways (QA) announced yesterday details of its corporate rewards program, which introduces a new currency, Qrewards.  Small and medium enterprises can earn the rewards and redeem them for flights to any of QA’s 160 plus destinations.

In contrast to other programs where redemption is limited to selected flights at selected times, the new plan makes it possible for businesses to use the rewards for any flight that has seats available, reported Gulf Times.

“As a preferred carrier for business travellers, Qatar Airways recognizes the importance of a premier corporate rewards program. We are delighted to introduce ‘Beyond Business by Qatar Airways’, as it enables small and medium-sized enterprises to be rewarded for their bookings and enjoy unique benefits that make business travel even more rewarding,” Ehab Amin, Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, said.

The program follows a three-tier structure titled: Elevate, Accelerate, and Ascent, respectively.

Business travellers can earn some great benefits such as fast track Qatar Airways Privilege Club Gold status, lounge access, as well as certain upgrades.

To mark the launch, QA will offer 3,000 Qrewards to all new accounts created between now and April 10,2019.

Bonus Qrewards will be credited to the account within a week after qualification by the Beyond Business team at Qatar Airways. Eligibility requirements can be found at the program’s website at www.qatarairways.com/beyondbusiness according to The Peninsula.

With the new full-service portal, registered corporates will benefit from a more convenient process to book flights and redeem their rewards.

The program will also support corporates to keep track of and manage their travel budget in a more sophisticated manner.
