Qatar Airways, which has been expanding its services aggressively to different parts of the world, has signed a new air transport agreement with Angola.

The new deal will primarily facilitate Qatar Airways to expand its services into that country, reported Gulf Times.

The agreement was formalised by Qatar’s Minister of Transport and Communications HE Jassim Seif Ahmed Al Sulaiti and Angolan Minister of Transport Ricardo de Abreu.

“The agreement comes within the framework of connecting Qatar with more air services agreements, permitting its national carrier to expand its destinations all around the world,” said the Ministry of Transport and Communications in a statement, according to The Peninsula

After the formal signing of the agreement, the two ministers discussed bilateral relations between the friendly nations in the fields of transportation and aviation and the means of further enhancing them.

The meeting also spoke about potential investment opportunities in these fields by both countries, according to Qatar Tribune

The meeting was also attended by Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker and Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority Abdulla bin Nasser Turki Al Subaey.
