Her Excellency Lolwa Bint Rashid Al-Khater, spokesperson for the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management, announced in a press conference today, that six patients who had contracted the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Qatar have beat the virus.

The six patients have recovered from the COVID-19 infection and are in good health, the officials confirmed. Among the six patients, two of them are Qatari citizen and four of them are expatriates. With these, the total number of COVID-19 recovery in Qatar has now reached 10.

Eight new cases of the virus in the country was announced in the press conference. With these new cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar has now reached 460.

There were different chains of spreading: one was among migrant labourers, the reason behind the closure of Industrial area. The second chain was among Qataris who recently returned from Europe. 

Other decisions to tackle COVID-19:

- There will be a lockdown for those who are suffering from the disease.

- Qatar has enough supply of goods for a long time. There is no need for panic buying.

- MoCI will open its doors to any company which requires assistance.

- The Red Crescent opens volunteering doors for anyone who wishes to help during this time of crisis.

- Whoever was in contact with affected individual, they are force to be on home quarantine.
