As Qatar Charity continues to support in the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19),it has once again joined hands with Talabat in line with the efforts of the State of Qatar.

Qatar Charity distributed 3,600 food parcels to workers and families affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Parcels were distributed to the working community in Ain Khalid, Al Muntazah, and Al Wakrah.

Mr. Mohammed Rashid Al Kaabi, Assistant CEO for the Communication and Development Sector, thanked ‘Talabat’ for supporting Qatar Charity’s humanitarian projects, emphasizing the importance of building partnerships with relevant commercial institutions within the framework of their corporate social responsibility, especially in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

It is worth mentioning that QR1 will be donated from every purchase of groceries through the Talabat app to Qatar Charity.

Qatar Charity has also signed a co-operation and partnership agreement with Talabat in 2019, to sell virtual meals through the latter’s website, in support of the charitable projects and relief activities implemented by

Talabat has also added Qatar Charity to the list of restaurants available on its website and App, as a virtual charitable restaurant that will sell three virtual meals at QR20, QR50, and QR100, respectively.

Mr. Francisco De Sousa, managing director of Talabat, said that the company is always proud to work hand-in-hand with Qatar Charity, adding the “Talabat” initiative is in line with the efforts of the State of Qatar to encourage people to stay home in this period of the coronavirus pandemic

As QC continues its nationwide campaign to provide meals to workers in Qatar, it has also welcomed donations for the cause.

Meanwhile, health authorities in the country continue to implement the highest level of monitoring, detection, and management procedures to deal with the virus, the public has been advised to follow certain measures to safeguard their health.
