The Qatar Fund for Development, in partnership with the Qatar Red Crescent Society, launched the first Qatari land bridge to deliver life-saving humanitarian aid to Sudan.
The initial convoy, comprising seven trucks, is carrying essential and emergency medical supplies to support those affected by the ongoing humanitarian situation.
Valued at more than QAR13.3m, the land bridge will operate through successive convoys, transporting a total of 70 shipping containers and 1,400 pallets of relief items. The initiative is expected to benefit over half a million people across 12 Sudanese states, reflecting Qatar’s continued commitment to humanitarian assistance and international solidarity.
