A delegation from the Qatar Fund for Development visited two shelter centres for displaced people in Port Sudan on Friday.
They inaugurated shelter tents and distributed food baskets in cooperation with the Qatar Red Crescent and Qatar Charity.

Qatar’s Ambassador to Sudan HE Mohamed Ibrahim Alsada, Sudan’s Federal Minister of Social Development Ahmed Adam Bakhit, and Governor of Port Sudan Mustafa Mohammed attended the ceremony.
The delegation delivered food baskets arriving via the Qatari air bridge and inspected the tents in the schoolyard in preparation for the return of school teaching.

The visit came as a continuation of Qatar’s ongoing efforts to help the Sudanese people and support their steadfastness in light of the current difficult events.
