Qatar joins GCC talks on electricity, water security and rising energy demand

The State of Qatar participated in the 31st Ministerial Meeting of the Electricity and Water Cooperation Committee, which was held in the Bahraini capital, Manama.

The delegation of the State of Qatar was headed by HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to cooperation between the GCC countries in the fields of electricity and water, including electrical interconnection, water security, and the growing demand for energy in the region.

The achievements made since the previous meeting were also reviewed, where the participants stressed the need for concerted efforts to face challenges and achieve common goals.
