Education has remained among Qatar's top priorities. This is reflected in the country's ongoing efforts to achieve excellence across all levels of education in the country.
Not only does Qatar focus on creating educational opportunities locally, but it also continues to empower millions of children around the world through its initiatives supporting education.
Yesterday, on its official twitter page, Qatar's Government Communications Office (GCO) reiterated Qatar's commitment to education.
In a tweet, the GCO said, "Qatar puts education first, believing it is the foundation of global peace, stability, and opportunity."
"By investing in education, Qatar has contributed to bringing positive change to millions of lives around the world," the GCO added.
The tweet that featured a video shined a spotlight on some of Qatar's educational endeavors carried out through the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and Education Above All (EAA).

According to the video, EAA's Educate a Child program has already enrolled over 9.2 million children worldwide in areas affected by poverty, discrimination, natural disaster and conflict.
Last year, QFFD provided over $64 million to educational causes and was able to support hundreds of thousands of out-of-school children in more than 78 countries through its annual core funding support to its strategic partners, including EAA, the GCO video states.
The GCO underlined that these efforts are continually updated with new initiatives being developed to ensure education is accessible, despite the current pandemic.
EAA recently joined 25 multi-sector partners in the new Global Education Coalition, created by UNESCO. The coalition aims to advance the COVID-19 response by finding innovative solutions to allow children most at risk to continue education through distance learning processes.
Despite the challenge, Qatar is committed to nurturing human potential by putting education first, the GCO video affirms.
Recently, in a remote meeting, Qatar's Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali Al Hammadi, also mentioned how Qatar's education system was quick to respond to the COVID-19 crisis by moving education online and activating distance learning procedures to ensure education continues without disruption.
