Doha Metro has resumed its services on September 1, 2020, and opened Legtaifiya station on the Red Line, which is one of the interchange stations between the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram, completing the 37 Doha Metro stations.
The station is located near major destinations such as Katara, The Pearl, Lagoona Mall, and several hotels located around that area.
Today, Qatar Rail tweeted that the technical tests of the Lusail Tram in Lusail City have begun, and urges drivers and pedestrians in that area to abide by traffic signals on the roads to ensure their safety.

Lusail Tram is a tram service for convenient travel within Lusail city. The network includes four lines and 25 stations aboveground and underground.

Lusail Tram connects to the Doha Metro through two interchange stations: Lusail and Legtaifiya.
Trams are greener and cope better with traffic than buses. They are also much more efficient in terms of road usage as one train replaces about 40 cars which take up a far larger area of road space.
Lusail tram will be the main transportation hub in the future for Lusail City and the largest single sustainable development to be undertaken in Qatar.
Earlier, to promote sustainability, Doha Metro suspended the use of paper tickets and replaced them with reusable Travel Card.
