Qatar, represented by the National Cyber Security Agency, has received the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) 2026 Award for the second consecutive year.

The award was presented in the ALC5 – Building Confidence and Security in the Use of Information and Communication Technologies category.

Director General of the National Cyber Security Agency Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mutawa Al Hammadi received the award during the official ceremony held in Geneva.

The recognition came after a competitive selection process that included hundreds of projects from countries around the world. Nominated projects went through public voting, expert assessment, and review by specialised committees.

Qatar’s National Cybersecurity Training Program was selected as the winning project in recognition of its contribution to achieving the objectives of the World Summit on the Information Society and supporting the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
