It has been raining hard in Qatar for the past few days and the wet spell looks set to continue.

The Qatar Met department has forecast scattered rains, which may be thundery at times and accompanied by strong winds, today ands tomorrow, reported Gulf Times.

The prevailing wind will be Northeasterly to Southeasterly moderate to fresh. The Qatar Met Department has urged people to be cautious and to check the weather conditions before going to sea, according to Qatar Tribune.

Today, the wind speed may go up to 25 knots inshore during thundershowers and 22 knots offshore, with the sea level rising to 7ft.

The temperature in Doha is expected to range from 19C to 25C today.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Interior had come out with a set of guidelines for drivers to follow while moving in rainy conditions.
