Qatar Showcases Growing Gaming Ecosystem at Gamescom 2026

Invest Qatar and Media City Qatar have concluded their participation at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, where a joint Qatar pavilion attracted interest from international gaming companies, developers, publishers and investors.

The participation highlighted Qatar's efforts to develop a competitive ecosystem for gaming and interactive media, while creating opportunities for engagement with international industry stakeholders.

Throughout the event, the pavilion hosted meetings and discussions focused on game development, publishing, localisation, esports and interactive media.

Six Qatar-based companies from Media City Qatar's ecosystem also participated, showcasing locally developed games, publishing projects and gaming innovation.

COREGAME Studios presented its work on Khawi and Beyond Solar, while Mezan Studios showcased Nightscape. Digital Dunes represented its publishing work behind Project Soccer Legends, and Digit Ink highlighted its mobile game and animation development operations in Doha.

SekGames, a Qatar-based mobile game studio and publisher with more than 10 million downloads worldwide, also participated, alongside Tawar Games, the Qatar-based developer behind the action-platformer adventure game Jumbo!.

Invest Qatar and Media City Qatar also promoted the country's business environment and opportunities available across media, technology and innovation.

The participation further highlighted ongoing investment in gaming culture, talent development, esports and community engagement as Qatar works to expand its presence in the global gaming industry.
