Moreover, the pacts will also see Qatar-US collaboration in tackling international challenges to fight organized crime, terrorism and corruption.
The signing of these agreements will serve as an impetus to fortify the principles of justice, safety, freedom and respect for human rights as well as promote economic prosperity for all citizens in the two nations.
The deals were locked on the sidelines of the annual conference of western states’ general attorneys held in the Santa Barbara, which was attended by Dr Al Marri.
Cooperation in the prevention, investigation and prosecution of organized crimes is also one of the main objectives of the agreements.
Furthermore, Qatar and US reiterated the need to intensify efforts in joint projects to bolster bilateral cooperation to combat trans-border crimes.
The two sides were also in agreement on the exchange of legal and technical knowledge by means of workshops, seminars, study trips and facilitation of the exchange of employees between the signatories to the agreement.
The two-day conference commenced on Wednesday and was hosted by General Attorney of California Xavier Becerra and New Mexico General Attorney Hector Balderas.
It witnessed many sessions that discussed the economy, the impact of the new laws in California, sports betting on the Internet, the settlement of federal requirements, the tax effects panel, cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.
