Qatar has always spoken up for its Palestinian brothers and sisters in international meetings and forums and also helped the country rebuild some of its destroyed infrastructure.
Al Zahra city in the central Gaza Strip yesterday saw the completion and inauguration of a brand new Justice Palace complex, constructed with help from the Qatari population.
Ambassador Mohamed Al Emadi, Chairman of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza, inaugurated the $11m complex, which comprises the Supreme Judicial Council, the Supreme Court, as well as Appeal, First Instance and Reconciliation courts, reported Gulf Times.

Abdul Raouf Al Halabi, President of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary in the Gaza Strip, was all praise for Qatar’s efforts to complete the project.
“We’re grateful to those who stood by our people in the most difficult times. We must establish for generations and history the truth of our love and deep gratitude to Qatar,” Al Halabi was quoted as saying by The Peninsula.
The opening of the new facility is seen as a new step towards maintaining justice and protection of public and private rights. It is also considered as the first stage of the march of judicial development in the Gaza Strip.
The Qatari Committee for the reconstruction of Gaza has been carrying out dozens of vital projects in the Strip, as part of a grant provided by HH The Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, for the reconstruction of Gaza.
