Iranian officials have arrived in Doha for a new round of indirect talks with Qatari mediators, a day after US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with Qatar's Prime Minister.

According to US officials, technical discussions with Tehran are continuing as efforts progress to implement the recently announced interim agreement. Iran, however, has reiterated that it is not engaged in direct talks with the United States, maintaining that the discussions are being conducted through mediators.

Iranian authorities said the negotiations are focused on implementing the interim agreement, including the release of frozen Iranian funds.

Commenting on the latest developments, Alex Vatanka, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute, said there is growing debate within Iran over whether the agreement will translate into tangible outcomes. He noted that while the memorandum of understanding appears significant on paper, many in Iran are waiting to see concrete progress.

Qatar has continued to play a key diplomatic role in facilitating indirect dialogue between Washington and Tehran, reinforcing its position as a mediator in regional and international negotiations.
