A ceremony was held in Bahrain's capital, Manama, to honour leading projects and figures in civil service, labour, development and social affairs across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The ceremony was attended by HE President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and Secretary-General of the National Planning Council Dr Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, HE Minister of Labour Dr Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, and HE Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi.
A number of distinguished Qatari professionals received the GCC Award in the civil service and administrative development sector in recognition of their efforts and outstanding contributions to the government sector. HE President of the National Cyber Security Agency Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Malki received the GCC Award in the civil service sector for his contributions at the national and Gulf levels.
In remarks during the ceremony, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi said the achievements of those honoured represented commendable Gulf examples that had contributed to developing government and private-sector workplaces and advancing social and development initiatives. He said the joint Gulf cooperation process continues to achieve success through the complementary efforts of the GCC countries.
