Qatar has taken part in the 21st meeting of Ministers of Transport in the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC), which was held in Kuwait yesterday.
Qatar’s Minister of Transport and Communications HE Jassim bin Seif Al Sulaiti was the leader of the Qatari delegation at the meeting, reported Gulf Times.
The meeting discussed some important topics including the establishment of the GCC railway project, the MoU on a joint data centre for ship tracking systems and the latest updates of the unified guide for traffic control devices, according to Qatar Tribune.
The ministers sat together and drafted several recommendations to implement GCC Supreme Council decisions, which will help deepen economic integration among the Gulf States.
Earlier, a preparatory meeting had been held for Undersecretaries of transport and communications in the GCC countries.
