Qatar and Kuwait’s bilateral relations have been growing stronger in recent years.  The two nations have pledged cooperation across different fields including energy, trade, education, tourism, and human rights.

Representatives from the two countries have also wholeheartedly participated in each other's events and activities.

To review bilateral ties and explore ways to further strengthen the Qatar-Kuwait bond, His Excellency Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani visited Kuwait yesterday.

HE the FM met with Kuwait’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah as well as other top Kuwaiti officials.

HE Sheikh Mohamed also conveyed His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s verbal message to HH the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.

The message pertained to “brotherly ties between the two countries and ways to boost them, besides issues of mutual interest,” Qatar News Agency reported.

At the outset of the meeting, HE Qatar’s FM passed on HH the Amir’s greetings to the Kuwaiti leader, wishing him good health and well-being as well as prosperity for the people of Kuwait.

HH the Amir of Kuwait also asked HE Sheikh Mohamed to convey his greetings to HH the Amir and wished the Qatari leader continued success. He also wished for further progress and wellbeing for the people of Qatar.

During his meeting with Kuwait’s PM, HE Sheikh Mohamed reviewed bilateral relations with the Kuwaiti leader and exchanged views on issues of common concern.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmad Nasser Al Mohamed Al Sabah to engage in talks on increasing bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Kuwait.
