With the Holy month of Ramadan set to begin in the country on Thursday, different departments have started publishing their work timings.
On Tuesday, Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health announced the Ramadan working hours for the Medical Commission, birth registration offices, and the Department of Medical Relations and Treatment Abroad.
According to the announcement, the Medical Commission will receive patients from 9am until 5.30pm.
Meanwhile, the birth registration offices will receive applications for registration and issuance of birth certificates for newborns in two shifts.
In the mornings, the services will be available from 9.30am till 1.30pm at the Women’s Health and Research Centre, Al Wakrah Hospital, Al Khor Hospital, the Cuban Hospital, Sidra Medicine, Al Ahli Hospital, Doha Clinic Hospital and Al Emadi Hospital.

Patients can visit the Medical Relations and Treatment Abroad Department, at the Ministry of Public Health building, from 9.30am to 1pm, from Sunday to Thursday. However, they will have to make a prior appointment through this link.
Earlier, Qatar’s Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs HE Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Sulaiti had said ministries, government agencies, public bodies and institutions would work from 9am to 2pm during the Holy month.
Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs had announced that more than 2,000 mosques across the country had been readied to receive worshippers during Ramadan. Separate arrangements for women have also been made in about 120 mosques.
Awqaf had further stated that they would set up 10 Iftar tents around the country, which would serve up to 10,000 Iftar meals a day.

The Doha Metro and Lusail Tram also announced their working hours during the Holy month. From Saturday to Thursday, services would run from 6.30am to 1.00am while on Friday, it will run from 2.00pm to 1.00am.
