Marc Randolph, first CEO and co-founder of Netflix, will be sharing his knowledge and experience as a serial entrepreneur during Qatar Foundation’s (QF) Education City Speaker Series which will be held virtually on August 23, 2021, from 5 to 6 pm.

Revolved around innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, ‘Don’t Let Dreams Be Dreams: What to Do with an Idea’ will focus on the start-up culture and how to foster entrepreneurial mindsets, in addition to knowing how to start building innovative businesses that are socially and environmentally conscious.

Randolph's talk comes at a time when Qatar's startup ecosystem is thriving, with the country leading the region in terms of ease of developing a business, according to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor's 2019-2020 National Entrepreneurship Context Index.

The Arab Innovation Academy, XLR8, and Stars of Science are among the programs at QF’s Qatar Science & Technology Park that aim to support Qatar's start-up culture and ecosystem, thereby improving the country's private sector and helping startups transform into SMEs that contribute to Qatar’s economy.

Moreover, QF's goal is to help investors, established companies, and entrepreneurs succeed by providing infrastructure, talent, and policy throughout the research and innovation spectrum.

This edition of the Education City Speaker Series aims to coincide with QF's objective of becoming the destination of choice for innovators locally, regionally, and internationally.

You can now register for the Education City Speaker Series featuring a 45-minute discussion with Marc Randolph which will be followed by an opportunity for viewers to ask questions.

The online event will take place over the Microsoft Teams platform with English, Arabic, French, Spanish, and Italian subtitles, in addition to QF’s YouTube and Facebook channels.
