Sahar Al Ansari and Summer Al Ansari are two Qatari sisters who established their own company titled named Everything.QA.

Under Everything.QA, the sisters run Everything Mama and Everything Baby businesses aimed at helping parents, raising awareness, and providing services to newborn babies.

Sahar started this business in 2019 together with her sister, after they had become new mothers.

The idea emerged when Sahar became a mom in 2018 and realized that there was a huge lack of essentials for newborn babies in Doha.

“What happened is after I gave birth in November 2018, we had a family trip to the USA. My son once had extreme colic, and it was very difficult to deal with. So at that time, we went to a famous store for babies there, and I was shocked to see the variety of things we never knew existed. So many things to help parents with everything,” Sahar recalled.

Everything.QA focuses on everything helpful for mamas and babies and not only this, but it also educates fathers on how to be a part of the family life.

The main aim of the company is to make their life easier for new parents and to save on the parents’ time by offering them expert advice.

“We noticed that parents are suffering from the same thing, they do not know how to find the right equipment for their children or how to use it. So, we made everything available to everybody, so they do not have to go through this,” she described.

Sahar used the platform to educate a lot of men and women in their parenthood experience. The business focuses on not only providing parents the equipment but also showing them how to use it.

“A lot of parents were looking for the same products that were not available locally, so after we started providing those products, we began to realize that they also needed to be guided on how to use them. This is when we came up with the idea of vlogging,” Sahar said.

Sahar believes that newborn babies and mothers need a lot of care, especially in their food system.

“We focus on things that do not hurt our kids, everything is natural 100 percent and all of our products are organic,” Sahar mentioned.

She always planned to have a platform of positivity for mothers in Doha and to support families, particularly new parents in their new roles as mothers and fathers.

It is more than just a business for Sahar and Summer as they connect with their customers and share their experiences and advice with them.

“We really care about our moms being as comfortable as possible, we know everything about their children, we know everything about the things they are going through, and we have this kind of connection with them,” Sahar said.

Sahar is well-supported by her husband who plays an active role in running the platform. She believes that people need to understand this and to see more involvement of fathers with newborn babies and with their families.

Sahar said they realized that a lot of fathers want to be part of the family life but they feel ashamed by the culture.

“This is something that my husband and I are really trying to change, we are trying to change the perception that the father should not be doing anything and should not have an opinion. We want fathers to be more involved in the community,” she said, adding that “we want the father to be more accepted, as we are trying to make a new normal, we want them to feel included in the family life and that’s why I post my husband.”

During the situation of COVID-19, their business was affected as any other business, but Sahar was super optimistic, and she is still positive to achieve more in the future.

“We had a lot of plans but because of COVID-19, these have been delayed. But as I always say we have to see the positive in everything, so we see it as a sign from God, we really hope to become a bigger platform for mothers in different ways, not only through our business but also to have a huge support group for mothers especially those who are struggling and suffering.”

Sahar reminds everyone to use the current times to strengthen their family bond. “This is the time the family can spend a lot of time together, and never in life, this time will repeat itself. So, take advantage of it.”
