Every Sunday, the Qatar Living content team will share their personal recommendations for everything from apps to films and brunches this week in Qatar. As a multinational group, there's a diversity of choices and preference that we hope will cater to everybody.

1. Spa day at The Westin Doha
For my pick this week I am recommending a day of absolute pampering at The Westin Doha. I came across this promotion which I find particularly appealing. You can enjoy breakfast in the hotel's signature restaurant Seasonal Tastes, followed by a 30 minutes massage and a full day of pool usage for 400 QAR. The food at the restaurant is fantastic. The pool is one of the best in Doha and the spa is terrific. This promotion is available from Mondays to Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.
For bookings contact: 4492-1682.

2. The World SuperBike Championship
My pick for the week is definitely going to be the World Superbike Championship that's happening this weekend at Losail Cicuit Sports Club. It will be a great week for the petrol heads in the country as the championship is one of the few international motorsport events that Qatar hosts every year.
This year, the fans can enjoy and get closer to the riders and teams in the Paddock Show activities, which means it should be easy to get autographs from your favorite riders. There will also be a hospitality area above the pit garages with an excellent view of the pit lane and starting grid in the terrace of the lounge.
The grandstand ticket is 100 QAR for the 3-day event. Tickets can be purchased at www.lcsc.qa OR www.q-tickets.com and during the event at the ticket booths in the circuit.

3. Stranger Things 2 - Netflix
I'm a child of the 80s, so this show is everything to me. I've already binge watched the entire second season, but am making my way through it again. The second season is more of a slow burn than the first, but everything you loved about season 1 is back, along with some great new characters, cool 80s references, (including nods to iconic 80s movies like Ghostbusters and The Goonies) and of course great storytelling. If you don't have a Netflix subscription yet, this should be your reason to signup.

4. Mary is Happy, Mary is Happy (2013)
Mary is Happy, Mary is Happy (2013) is a coming of age story constructed from 410 consecutive tweets by @marylony - a random anonymous Thai schoolgirl. The film follows our main character Mary and her best friend Suri as they spend their last few months of high school attempting to create the perfect minimalist yearbook. All 410 real-life tweets appear on screen, serving as internal monologue, ironic counterpoint, hypnotic punctuation, and forcing the film to wander into bizarre asides involving cake store robberies, poison mushrooms, gun rampages, an increasingly fascistic school administration, and impromptu trips to Paris. By anchoring all of these disparate elements into a familiar portrait of a young, idealistic teenager saddled by lethargy and distracted by a hornet’s nest of inner thoughts, Thai director Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit deftly manages to turn what could easily be a farce or an empty exercise in formalist ostentation into a work of aching melancholy. Watch this film if you liked Ghost World (2001) or The Graduate (1967).

5. Lose weight with Lose It!
As someone who has been on opposite ends of the scale, I've always had an issue with maintaining a healthy weight. So this week, I thought I'd share with you an app I came across that has kept me on the right track of proper nutrition.
Called Lose It, the app is an effective way of staying within your calories, which also lets you calculate your macros, ranging from protein and carbs, to healthy fats. This convenient app also helps you keep a log of your weight and progress. It’s available on both the Apple and android store.
In my weight loss journey, I've personally found that being more conscious of what I consume has garnered more success, compared to exercise alone, and this app has definitely made getting fit, so much easier.

6. Bounce Inc.
Bounce Inc. has opened in Doha, and it’s the biggest branch here in the Middle East. Located at Tawar Mall, Bounce caters to different skill levels, and all ages. If you have family or a group of friends, or you just want to have fun and workout without that feeling of working out, you can go to Bounce Inc. and jump your worries away. Go enjoy something new!

7. All you can eat at La Maison de Sushi
I’ve never been much of a sushi fan, let alone an expert, but La Maison de Sushi is an exception to the rule for me. At 130 QAR you can enjoy their all you can eat option, and try anything from sushi and sashimi to green curry, tom yum soup and even green tea-flavored ice cream (along with an endless stream of actual green tea). Granted, its situation in Ain Khaled’s 01 Mall is out of the way for a lot of people, but it’s definitely worth the commute. The food is great and the ambience is casual and comfortable. Definitely worth more than one visit!
Location: 01 Mall
Opening hours: (Sun to Wed) 12:30 - 10:00 pm, (Thu to Sat) 12:30 - 11:00 pm
