The Week 3 action of 2019-20 QNB Stars League witnessed plenty of thrill and excitement.
All games were played at the Al Sadd and Al Janoub Stadiums, which has cooling technology, and that helped the players settle into their stride straightway.
Round 3 results:
13 September 2019
Al Khor – 2, Al Ahli – 3 at Al Janoub Stadium
Al Ahli defeated Al Khor by a 3-2 margin.
Nabil El Zahr (penalty during 58th minute), Abel Mathias (66th minute) and Hernan Gonzalez (90th-minute penalty) scored for Al Ahli.
For Al Khor, Ibrahim Amada (32nd minute) and Ahmed Hammoudan (76th) were the scorers.
Al Arabi – 5, Umm Salal – 1 at Al Sadd stadium
Al Arabi climbed to the top of QNB Stars League table with seven points following a huge 5-1 win over Umm Salal.
14 September 2019
Al Shahania – 0, Al Wakrah – 2 at Al Janoub stadium
Al Wakrah secured an impressive 2-0 victory against Al Shahania in Week 3. Mohamed Benyettou scored both the goals.
Qatar SC – 1, Al Gharafa – 3 at Al Sadd stadium
Othman Al Yahri led Al Gharafa’s scoring with two goals (67th and 73rd minutes). Ahmed Alaaeldin (40th minute) was the other scorer.
15 September 2019
Al Duhail – 1, Al Rayyan – 1 at Al Janoub stadium
Al Duhail and Al Rayyan played out an exciting 1-1 draw in Week 3.
Five players have so far scored three goals. They are Hamdi Harbaoui of Al Arabi, Abel Mathias of Al Ahli, Mohamed Benyettou of Al Wakrah, Ahmed Alaaeldin of Al Gharafa and Baghdad Bounedjah of Al Sadd.
The fixtures for Round 4 are Al Arabi vs Al Shahania (4:50 pm at Al Janoub Stadium) and Al Gharafa vs Al Ahli (7:00 pm at Al Sadd Stadium) on September 19, 2019.
Al Sadd vs Umm Salal (4:50 pm at Al Janoub Stadium) and Al Sailiya vs Qatar SC (7:00 pm at Al Sadd Stadium) on September 20, 2019.
Al Rayyan vs Al Khor (4:50 pm, Al Janoub Stadium) and Al Wakrah vs Al Duhail (7:00 pm at Al Sadd Stadium) on September 21, 2019.
