For the third consecutive year, Losail Circuit Sports Club (LCSC) celebrated Qatar National Sports Day (NSD) for ladies and children only, giving them the opportunity to exercise and enjoy this day in an outdoor facility in full privacy.
This year, the circuit saw a record attendance of almost 3,500 women and children. Windy and chilly conditions did not stop them from participating in the variety of fitness-focused activities that started at 9 o’clock in the morning and ran until 7pm. This Sports Day, LCSC extended its hours of activities so that participants could enjoy more time on the track under the floodlights.
Compared to last year, the attendance for this year’s NSD at LCSC was significantly higher than previous editions, presenting an increase of 15% of the total participants with 77% Qatari ladies and 27% children.
Khalid Al Remaihi, LCSC Vice President and General Manager, was very happy with the ladies’ attendance and their participation in the NSD celebrations at the Circuit.
"This is the third year we have organized this event for ladies and children and we try each year to improve the services and activities available. This year, we increased the number of bicycles available for rent so that each lady could have the chance to cycle around the track,” noted Al Remaihi.
“I would like to extend my gratitude to the Ministry of Culture and Sport, Qatar Sports for All Federation, and Qatar Cyclists for their continued support in making this a successful event. I would also like to thank all the suppliers, professionals and volunteers that added to the overall success of this special day," Al Remaihi added.
Apart from cycling, running or walking around the 5.3 km track, women were able to take part in a variety of activities at no cost. Activities such as Pound Fitness, Zumba, Martial Arts, Bollywood Dancing, Functional Fitness and Body Basic Fitness were scheduled throughout the day.
For those ladies who wanted to have a more relaxed day, there were Express Massages, Yoga Sessions and Health Workshops available as well.
One of the classes featured at the event was a female body-shaping class hosted by Instagram wellness influencer, Reem Al-Muftah. Her class was composed of exercises that women should incorporate into their fitness routines in order to achieve a toned womanly silhouette.

Reem also discussed healthy lifestyle methods with the participants to help raise awareness on health and fitness.
“I am so proud of women wellness initiatives and events that raise awareness, especially Losail Circuit as they really go out of their way to use their facilities to help women enjoy our National Sports Day! I’m always happy to be a part of such a well-organized campaign and event,’’ Reem commented.
“On NSD, my children and I decided to come to Losail Circuit and enjoy the most beautiful time in many sports activities. Everything was perfect and the activities were suitable for all ages. There was privacy for the ladies where we were able to practice the sport well. By the way my children liked the basketball and pedal cars by Porsche. It was a great day!” mentioned Aisha Ali, one of participating ladies.
In the afternoon, women who registered for the Ladies Academy attended a session at the Qatar Motorsports Academy. This session was held in order to help these ladies improve their racing skills and abilities under the guidance of the international Academy instructors.
For the children, there was an array of fun activities planned. There were Zumba sessions, Kids Boot Camp, pedal cars provided by Porsche Qatar, bouncy castles and a dedicated area with sport games such as basketball, football and ping pong.

An extreme sports park was also added this year at LCSC, where children could skateboard, BMX and use push scooters.
The NSD celebration at LCSC was filled with loads of sporting activities and education. The Circuit management hoped that all participants learned some new things and encouraged them to keep practicing a healthy, active and balanced lifestyle.
