The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (AWQAF) has announced the referral of several real estate developers to the Public Prosecution for violating laws and regulations governing the sector.

According to the Authority, the violations fall under Law No. (6) of 2014, as amended by Law No. (5) of 2023. These include failure to deliver real estate units within the agreed timelines and engaging in development activities without obtaining the required licenses.

The Authority stressed the importance of full compliance with all regulatory frameworks, highlighting that adherence to the law is essential to safeguard investors’ rights and maintain transparency in the market.

These actions form part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to strengthen compliance across the real estate sector, support market stability, and ensure sustainable growth.
