Motorists are experiencing a wet commute this morning following light showers in Doha and other parts of Qatar.
Scattered rains began on Tuesday night and developed into thunderstorms over the weekend. Social media was abuzz with photos and videos of rain and lightining since last night.

Residents have also been asked to drive safely by the Ministry of Interior as thunderstorms make their way to the country.
Driving in rainy condition requires extra attention and control. Those using Abu Samara and Um Bab highways are advised to be cautious.
