The Airport Passports Department at the General Directorate of Nationality, Borders and Expatriates Affairs announced that the "return visa" for people under personal sponsorship can be applied online through MoI website, Metrash 2, or Self Service Kiosks now.

Maj. Nasser Jaber Al Maliki, Head of Travel Permits Section at Airport Passports Department said that the new facility was launched in order to realize the advanced developments of the department that aim to save the time and effort of beneficiaries for completing their transactions. Most of the services from Passports Department have been made available online so far.

"The remaining paper transactions like issuance of tourist visa also will be soon changed electronic system. These steps reflect the keenness of the Ministry to digitalize its services in order to assist people to complete their transactions easily", he added.

Maj. Nasser al Maliki urged the citizens and residents to utilize Metrash2, MoI web portal, service kiosks available in shopping centres and ministries and Hukoomi web portal as well as service centres in all parts of the state in to save their time and efforts.
