Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was attacked today, resulting in a number of injuries.
In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the authority said the attack occurred this afternoon amid continuing attacks targeting civil aviation facilities in the Kingdom. It added that work was under way to determine the number of injuries.
The authority added that airport operations had been temporarily suspended pending the completion of a damage assessment and confirmation that the facilities were safe, in coordination with the relevant authorities. It said further updates would be announced later.
