Seashore Doha Water Polo Championship begins October 22

The Qatar Water Sports Federation ×(QAA) will kick off tomorrow (Thursday) with the participation of the Qatari water polo team and a number of local and foreign teams, in an event that combines the atmosphere of sports competition with the privacy of the distinctive maritime site.

The tournament comes within the framework of the Qatar Water Sports Federation's efforts to develop the sport of water polo, expand its base of practitioners, and enhance its presence on the local sports scene, in addition to providing opportunities for the Qatari team to interact with the participating teams, which contributes to the exchange of experiences and raising the technical level of the players.

The tournament is expected to witness strong competitions, in light of the specificity of the 4×4 water polo system, which relies on speed and individual and team skills, as the matches are held on a small water area, which raises the pace of play and adds more excitement and suspense to the matches.

Doha's Old Port is a suitable destination to host the tournament, due to its distinctive maritime location and tourist and entertainment facilities, allowing fans to follow the matches and enjoy the events in an atmosphere that combines sports and entertainment.

The tournament embodies the keenness of the Qatar Water Sports Federation to diversify its programs and activities, launch events that contribute to spreading the culture of water sports and encourage various segments of society to practice it, as well as supporting the sports movement in the State of Qatar and enhancing its ability to host various sports events.

The tournament is expected to attract the attention of water sports fans over the course of its three days, in light of the aspiration of the participating teams to present distinctive levels and compete for the title, reflecting the development of the game and giving the Qatari team an important opportunity to gain more experience and contact.
