The third edition of S’hail- Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition is all set to kick off tomorrow at Katara Cultural Village.
The exhibition is taking place from September 3-7, 2019 from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.
S’hail is an internationally recognized platform of Qatar which was established in 2017. The exhibition is best known for Hunting & Falconry.

S’hail is also known as Canopus, the only star which is closely related to hunting. It is the sign of a new beginning. Every year birds and hunters eagerly wait for S’hail to shine in the sky to begin their journey. It has four different stages, and all the stages are symbolic.
S’hail is very significant in Arabic culture as well. Many legendary Arabic poets have described the importance of S’hail in their masterpieces.
S’hail aims to preserve and create awareness about the rich cultural legacy by organizing the world-class exhibition, awareness programs, and supporting educational and environmental initiatives at both the national and international levels.
20 countries participated in the exhibition last year and the exhibition witnessed more than 116,000 visitors.

This year, for supporting and encouraging craftsmen expert in manufacturing hunting and falcons accessories, the organizers are launching the Best Burqa (falcon hood) competition, as the hood represents an inherent historical symbol in crafting falcon’s accessories.
