Sheikha Asmaa Bint Thani Al-Thani, a Qatari mountaineer, successfully summited Mount Ama Dablam, becoming the first Qatari woman to do so.

Sheikha Asma posted photos of her fourth summit of the year on her official Instagram page after reaching an elevation of 6,812 meters.

Because of its considerable height, Sheikha Asma said that summiting Mount Ama Dablam was difficult and complicated.

Despite this, her team was able to climb higher and reach the pinnacle of the mountain by working together and sharing motivation.

Team Qatar had also recognized her proud achievement in a recent tweet which stated, “Congratulations! Qatari mountaineer Sheikha Asmaa Bint Thani Al-Thani reaches Ama Dablam summit with a height of 6,812m. It’s our champion’s fourth summit this year, making her the first Qatari female to Summit Mount Amadablam.”

Sheikha Asma has also summited Mount Dhaulagiri, the world's seventh-highest mountain, and Mount Manaslu, making her the first Arab to summit an 8000er mountain without oxygen.
