Starlink, the satellite internet service engineered by SpaceX, is now operational and available throughout Qatar, marking a significant milestone for connectivity in the region.

X owner Elon Musk took to the social media platform to confirm the development.

“Starlink is now available in Qatar!” he posted on his X handle, along with the emoji of a Qatari flag.

Starlink’s arrival is expected to benefit both consumers and businesses, offering reliable internet even in areas previously underserved by traditional providers.

Earlier, Qatar Airways had started equipping its different planes with Starlink, offering passengers complimentary, ultra-fast Wi-Fi on select flights.

With Starlink’s arrival, Qatar becomes one of the first countries in the Middle East to offer the advanced satellite internet.
