Competitions continued in the second round of the 10th edition of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour, organised by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in partnership with Al Shaqab and running until June 2027. The second day featured three competitions at the federation's indoor arena: the Future Riders class at 70cm, the Open Tour at 110cm, and the Gold Tour for individuals and teams at 140cm.
In the 70cm Future Riders competition, Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Abdallah took first place on Mani with a time of 48.25 seconds. Ahmed Nasser Al Obaidli finished second on Croat in 48.27 seconds, while Mashael Mohammed Al Thani and Salman Talal Al Hassan shared third place after each recorded 47.61 seconds aboard Rive de Coeur and Tulipards, respectively.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Marri won the 110cm Open Tour aboard Hannes in 21.96 seconds, followed by Yaqoub Nasser Al Mas on Elio 4 in 22.83 seconds and Hadi Mansour Al Shahwani on Mira in 24.35 seconds. In the junior category of the same tour, Al Marri again took first place on Hannes, Al Mas finished second on Elio 4, and Abdullah Faisal Al Mana placed third on Aspire in 24.41 seconds.
In the individual Gold Tour, Khalid Abdulaziz Al Eid secured first place on Rakker DMC in 28.62 seconds. Abdulaziz Fahad Al Eid finished second on Q-Hayen in 29.94 seconds, while Mohammed Saeed Haidan placed third on Ekaterina in 27.37 seconds. Team Bu Thaila won the Gold Tour team competition with a combined time of 58.56 seconds.
The second round concludes on Saturday with three competitions, beginning with the 90cm Future Riders class for competitors aged 12 to 16. It will be followed by the 120cm Bronze Tour for individuals and teams and the 150cm Diamond Tour.
The Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour comprises 14 rounds held at the Qatar Equestrian Federation's arenas and the Longines arenas at Al Shaqab. It is one of Qatar's leading domestic equestrian competitions, with this year's edition recording an increase in rider participation across its various rounds.
