1. Japanese Cultural Night

Dates: October 11, 2019

Where: North Court Lobby, Lagoona Mall

To mark the occasion of the Reiwa Era, the Embassy of Japan in Qatar in cooperation with Lagoona Mall invites everyone to Japanese Cultural Night.
Reiwa refers to the current era of Japan which began on May 1, 2019, when His Majesty Emperor Naruhito was enthroned as the 126th Emperor of Japan. Reiwa is interpreted as Beautiful “Rei” Harmony “Wa”.
The cultural night will feature the following activities:
6:45 pm to 6:50 pm – Opening address by H.E. Mr. Kazuo Sunaga, Ambassador to Japan to the State of Qatar
6:50 pm to 7:05 pm – Kimono show by Doha Kimono Club
7:10 pm to 7:25 pm – Ikebana presentation by Ms. Kumika Sugiyama
7:25 pm to 8:00 pm – Kendo demonstration BY Mr. Ryo Arai and the Doha Kendo Club
If you want to craft your name with beautiful Japanese calligraphy, then you can get it done at the event.
2. ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019

Dates: October 12-16, 2019
Where: Katara Cultural Village, Aspire Zone, Al Gharafa Stadium, and the Ritz-Carlton Doha's Leqtaifiya Lagoon.

The ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019 will see a range of beach sports on the competition arena including Beach Soccer, Beach Handball, Beach Tennis, Beach Wrestling, Open Water Swimming, and many more.
As many as 1237 athletes, from 97 different countries, are gearing up to compete in the multisport global event in Qatar.
A total of 31 athletes, representing Team Qatar, will be competing in the event.
According to ANOC, Doha residents and citizens will have the unique opportunity to attend the games free-of-charge.
According to the schedule of the tournament, Aquathlon, 3x3 Basketball, Karate Kata Individual, Kitefoil Racing, Beach Soccer, Open Water 5km, Beach Tennis and Beach Wrestling will be held at Katara Beach, while the Al Gharafa courts will host Beach Handball and Volleyball 4x4 competitions.
While the opening ceremony is slated to take place on October 11, the tournament will run from October 12 to 16.
3. Classic Cars Exhibition

Dates: Until October 15, 2019
Where: Mirqab Mall Qatar
Entry: Entry is free for all
It’s time to take a drive with Mirqab Mall!
All of your favorite classic cars will be yours to view during this exhibition. They have teamed with Mawater Qatar to provide this opportunity to all of their wonderful customers.

4. Artistic Dimensions to a Healthier World exhibition

Dates: October 2-27, 2019
Where: Fire Station
Entry: Entry is free for all
The exhibition is curated by the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), which looks at the interrelationship between art and promotion of health and wellbeing, as well as shines a spotlight on healthcare issues.
It features artworks by Giles Duley, an award-winning humanitarian photographer who documents human plight in war zones across the world.
In addition to that, there will also be drawings created by the Rohingya children who are currently living in refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, after fleeing persecution in Rakhine State, Myanmar. Some of these children are part of a program called ‘Creative Methodologies for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support with Children in Emergency Settings’, which is being delivered by the UK-based charity, Save The Children, in these camps.
The exhibition will also conduct Art therapy and Photography workshop.
Art therapy workshop is taking place on October 2, 2019, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Fire Station Education Room 1. It is a workshop by members of Save The Children charity targeting for adults, Qatar’s school teachers, and the healthcare community, and others to show how effective the use of art therapy can help children cope with stress and trauma. Photography workshop by Giles Duley will be taking place on October 10, 2019, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Fire Station Workshop 4, this workshop is about a humanitarian photographer, who has documented images of human suffering in conflict zones across the world. Click here for registration.
5. Karting at Losail Circuit

Dates: October 10-11, 2019
Time: 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Where: Losail Circuit
Entry: Price (for adults) - QAR 125 per karting session of 15 minutes (with mask included) and price (for kids) - QAR 25 per karting session of 5 minutes.
Enjoy fast and furious go-karting action at Losail Circuit Sports Club! Choose from a selection of go-karts and race head-to-head with your competitors for a shot at karting glory.
This karting experience is perfect for competitive groups of friends or families looking for an action-packed weekend.
Kids aged 8-14 years old will be permitted while also considering their body fitness and height (minimum height of 120 cm)
6. Young Adults Film Club
