1. QNB Stars League Round 4

Five players have so far scored three goals. They are Hamdi Harbaoui of Al Arabi, Abel Mathias of Al Ahli, Mohamed Benyettou of Al Wakrah, Ahmed Alaaeldin of Al Gharafa and Baghdad Bounedjah of Al Sadd.

The fixtures for Round 4 are Al Arabi vs Al Shahania (4:50 pm at Al Janoub Stadium) and Al Gharafa vs Al Ahli (7:00 pm at Al Sadd Stadium) on September 19, 2019.

2. “Qatar – India Cultural Year” exhibition

Time: 10:00 am and 10:00 pm

Where: Building 18, Gallery 1, Katara Cultural Village

Entry: Entry is free for all

Katara Cultural Village in cooperation with The Youth Hobbies Center presents “Qatar – India Cultural Year” exhibition by a group of photographers.

The exhibition showcases 25 Qatari photographs and 25 Indian photographs. They bring out the similarities between Indian and Qatari culture in a very vivid manner.

The exhibition also displays different monuments in India and Qatar.

3. Film Series - Rhythm and Flow

Dates: September 18-23, 2019

Where: Museum of Islamic Art Auditorium 

Entry: Screening Tickets- QAR 35

DFI Cinema is presented in partnership with several organizations, including Katara, the Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar Museums and Aspire Park. Programming includes contemporary independent cinema, filmmaker retrospectives, classic films and a regular presentation of works by Qatari and Gulf filmmakers.

4. Philharmonic at the library: Music for wind ensemble

The first Philharmonic at the library concert of the season features works for wind instruments, performed by members of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.

5. Mini Athletics Championship

Dates: September 5 to October 3, 2019

Time: 2:00 pm and 10:00 pm

Where: Doha Festival City

Entry: Entry is free for all

Doha Festival City has created a replica of the Khalifa International Stadium, the host venue of the IAAF World Athletics Championships, at the Centre Court, first floor. The Mini Athletics Championship is for children aged 4-14.

The stadium replica features six athletics events, spectator area, and a press conference space, giving the younger generation a glimpse of what fans can expect when the Middle East’s biggest ever sporting event with the participation of first-class athletes from 213 countries.

Children can enjoy a variety of athletics activities including jumping, throwing, relay races, sprints, and hurdles.

During Mondays and Wednesdays, experienced coaches will be on the ground to offer training sessions for three hours at each pit, while on weekends children will compete against each other to win medals.

Senior athletes will also make an appearance during the weekends to meet and greet their fans, where they will sign the bibs of kid’s club members and hand out medals and prizes to the winners.

6. “Art of nature in the Qatari architecture” exhibition

Where: Katara Cultural Village

Entry: Entry is free for all

Cultural Village Foundation –Katara presents “Art of nature in the Qatari architecture” exhibition by the artist Muhannad Barakat.
