TotalEnergies Qatar Named Official Sponsor of FIP World Padel Championships Qatar 2026

The Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation has signed a partnership agreement with TotalEnergies Qatar, under which the company becomes the official sponsor of the FIP World Padel Championships Qatar 2026. Doha will host the tournament from 2 to 7 November, with 32 national men's and women's teams participating.

The agreement comes as part of the federation's efforts to strengthen its partnerships with the private sector, supporting the development of the sport and contributing to the success of international tournaments hosted by Qatar amid growing global interest in padel.

Speaking at a press conference today, Tournament Director Tariq Zainal expressed the federation's pride in its longstanding partnership with TotalEnergies Qatar. He praised the company's sponsorship of the 2026 World Padel Championships and its role in supporting sporting and community initiatives, describing this as an extension of its continued support for tournaments and events organised by the federation.

He said Qatar being awarded the hosting rights for the 2026 and 2028 editions of the World Padel Championships reflects international confidence in its organisational capabilities, advanced sporting facilities and experienced national personnel in organising major global tournaments. He added that the federation looks forward to organising an outstanding edition in cooperation with its partners and delivering an exceptional sporting experience for players and fans, strengthening Qatar's standing as a host of global championships.

Antoine Delafargue, Managing Director of TotalEnergies EP Qatar and Country Chair, expressed his pleasure at starting a new chapter in the longstanding partnership with the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation through the FIP World Padel Championships Qatar 2026.

He said the company's sponsorship reflects its continued commitment to supporting sport in Qatar amid the rapid growth of padel. He also expressed the company's intention to contribute to the tournament's success and provide a distinctive experience for players and fans from Qatar and around the world.

The FIP World Padel Championships Qatar 2026 will feature 32 national teams, comprising 16 men's teams and 16 women's teams, competing at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. Total prize money is €1.2 million, divided equally between the men's and women's competitions.

Doha is hosting the tournament for the third time following the 2021 and 2024 editions, confirming its growing presence on the global map for hosting sporting events.
