Qatar and Turkey have always stood by each other through thick and thin.
The two nations enjoy strong bilateral ties cemented over the years through strategic collaboration in several fields.
Qatar was quick to express its solidarity with the brotherly nation of Turkey following a powerful earthquake that struck western Turkey on Friday.
In light of this, the Turkish ambassador to Qatar, Mehmet Mustafa Göksu appreciated the support from the Qatari government and its people.
The ambassador said he had “received many calls from Qatar officials and members of the public who have expressed their solidarity, and readiness to extend support and aid to Turkey.”
