The United Development Company (UDC) has announced a full day of Qatar National Day celebrations across The Pearl and Gewan Islands, offering residents and visitors a rich programme of cultural, heritage, and family-friendly activities on December 18.

Festivities will run from 10am to 4pm, transforming several key precincts into dedicated celebration zones that reflect Qatar’s traditions and national identity.

Qanat Quartier will serve as the main hub of the celebrations, hosting cultural activities, traditional Ardah performances, and a ceremonial balloon release from 3.30pm to 4pm to mark the close of the daytime programme.

Porto Arabia and Medina Centrale will also come alive with daytime cultural activations, including Ardah performances, before hosting evening screenings of the Arab Cup final match, creating lively gathering points for families and fans alike.

On Gewan Island, visitors can enjoy Arab-inspired activations, heritage crafts, and further traditional performances in a setting that highlights Qatar’s cultural roots.

A highlight of the celebrations will be a classic car parade scheduled for 3pm, adding a distinctive visual element to the national festivities.

Through this multi-location programme, UDC aims to create an inclusive and festive atmosphere across The Pearl and Gewan Islands, bringing communities together to celebrate Qatar National Day through culture, heritage, and shared experiences.
